At first it reads like your classic everyday tabloid story. Kim Kardashian, newly engaged, has been caught cheating with a hunky football star. P'shaw, right? The difference: The "other man" is the one doing the talking, not the anonymous "close friend" that seems to pop up in other stories. New England Patriots star Bret Lockett (amazingly) tells In Touch Weekly in their newest issue that Kardashian "pursued me" before and, according to the report, after she began dating now-fiance Kris Humphries.
"I knew this was a game to her, and this is what she does," Lockett is quoted as saying. With the help of Lockett's brother, Colin, the report tells of a flirtatious texting relationship that began when he was told by Kim's friend, Lauren London, that the reality star wanted the footballers number. Colin handed over the digits and before long, "They chatted, and then they started texting each other."
Naturally, the reality starlet is already fighting back.
"The story is absolutely not true," Kardashian's rep tells PopEater. "Kim has no idea who this guy is and is preparing to take legal action."

Later Wednesday, Kardashian took to her Celebuzz blog to rip the "loser I've never even met" in a tersely written statement.
"This guy should be ashamed of himself," Kardashian writes of Lockett. "Calling up a magazine and making up an entirely fake story in a sad attempt to ruin my relationship!?!?! It's just shameful and this guy should feel ashamed and humiliated. Is this your pathetic attempt for attention? I'll be damned if anyone, especially some loser I've never even met, is going to try to come between Kris and me."
In the blog post, Kardashian argues that London has never met "this guy" and therefore could never have given him her number, as well as she laughs off the word choices in some of the texts as not how she would talk to a man. And then there's the shaming of In Touch.
"It makes me sick to my stomach that any one can call up a magazine, tell an entirely fake story, provide fake proof, and the magazine will go ahead and run it... just to sell copies!!! What a crazy world," she writes.
Also not backing down: In Touch Weekly. "We stand by our story," a spokesperson told us in a statement.
The star's lawyer, Dennis A. Roach, has already sent a letter (obtained by TMZ) to In Touch, saying the cheating allegations "are, at a minimum, damaging, defamatory, and an invasion of her privacy." They are asking the tabloid to "immediately refrain from publishing, distributing or disseminating any
